Help With Marijuana Sweating – Sweating when Smoking Weed

So you’ve most likely found this page as you’re sweating when smoking weed, that is to say abnormal sweating after the use of cannabis. This has caused a large amount of interest in my site from another article about smoking and sweating in general. So, I thought I’d create a guide to help those in need of a helping hand in a time that could be disconcerting. Seemed pretty prudent. Take into mind that this guide is intended for those that are concerned with sweating and marijuana use, in particular if this is irregular. If you’re smoking tobacco or other herbs and experiencing sweating then there’s another article that will be more suitable for you.

This is not a place of judgment either, I probably don’t need to say this, but for some it’s important. I am an intermittent user of cannabis myself so I have experienced what you or whoever you’re reading this for has.

Marijuana and Sudden Onset Sweating:

Don’t Panic.

Sweating is a perfectly natural response for your body…but I’m going to leave explanations for another article – it’s covered enough on here. Right now you’re sweating from smoking weed by the sounds of its and probably worried too. Fair enough. First things first it’s important to remember to relax, take a breather(fresh air or a walk helps me). Ok, ready? Below there are links to click, these will scroll you to key part in the article to help you with your exact problem answering these will guide you to your exact solution.

Start Here:

Do you feel hot, cold or are you just sweating?

Feeling Hot

This can be one of a few things. Don’t let your mind stray on flights of fancy, focus – this much is important. Is the environment hot/neutral where you are or cold?

It’s Hot/Neutral and so am I

If you’re just hot – have a cold shower, run a fan, take your shirt off. Smoking up can really amplify your perception of external stimuli.

Now, how else are you feeling:

OK, that did it, thanks  |  Anxious  |  Lethargic  |  Difficulty Breathing

It’s Cold and I’m Hot

If it’s cold and you’re feeling hot, Your body may be working over time. Now seat is meant to cool you off, and you’re feeling hot so yeah, your body”s trying to cool off. It’s prudent that you dry off any sweat.

Now, how else are you feeling:

OK, that did it, thanks  |  Anxious  |  Lethargic  |  Difficulty Breathing

I’m Feeling Cold

Ok, if you’re freezing, grab a towel or similar now and dry off. Sweating is only going to make you colder. Next I’ll ask, are you in a warm/neutral environment or a cold one?

It’s Warm/neutral but I’m Cold

This can be a couple of simple things. Some strains can cause certain people’s metabolic rate to drop. This usually isn’t a problem, you’ll sober up in a couple of hours and all will be well. You’ll be laughing at your body’s reaction later. Remember that marijuana will heighten your perception to some stimuli. So it can be hot and, well, you’re body is meant to sweat. Sweat’s sole job is to cool you down and by the sounds of it, it’s doing just that. If it’s bothering you, towel off! It’s what hyperhidrosis sufferers(like me) go through all the time. You’ll be a-ok.

Now, how else are you feeling:

OK, that did it, thanks  |  Anxious  |  Lethargic  |  Difficulty Breathing

Its Cold and So am I

You need to grab a towel or something a dry off. Sweats meant to cool you down when you’re hot, not cold. sweating when you’re cold can lead to illness or worse. So, dry off. The sweating can be caused by a reaction to the cannabis, anxiety or because your body is working overtime. None of these are really particular reasons for concern most of the time but links below to help you through anything else it could be.

If gaming if your thing, watch some gaming or reviews on youtube, if you’re into cartoons, Duck Tales(oooOOOooo – sorry!) might be your jam, or angry beavers(remember those guys?)! Even just some stupid fail compilations can help. Reading is actually the best thing for it, and really try to visualize what you’re reading, its actually a really underappreciated thing to do when using marijuana – you’re welcome( read a lot of Dragonlance this way). Whatever you opt to do, you’ll be fine in a couple of hours so take the time to relax and reflect – and understand your bodies reaction and limits – this will really help with your constitution into the future.

It’s bound to happen at some point, whether it’s peer pressure, experimentation, a new strain, accident or whatever – its happened. If you’re an experienced smoker, then you probably already know there’s no reason to worry. Detoxing and Withdrawal

As you may know, Marijuana is not actually physiologically addictive, and for a lot of us, it isn’t psychologically addictive either. But that doesn’t mean that you won’t develop a dependence on the substance. This can lead to withdrawals and the symptoms that come along with that. These symptoms can include itchiness, sweating and cravings for cannabis. It’s best just to sweat this one out, though there are some herbal supplements that can help ease you through the process. Ashwaghanda supplements come to mind for their calming and anxiety relieving effects, not to mention the countless other benefit that come along with it, such as increated immune system and energy.
