Homemade Natural Deodorant Recipe
This is a little recipe I found for my sister who, like me, also has Hyperhidrosis. Particularly in her pits. It’s a simple formula and made of cheap easily attainable ingredients and is all natural, it’s aluminum-free – which is a big hang up for a lot of people and deodorants. The coconut oil acts as an anti-bacterial agent, while the baking soda works to block your sweat glands. We also have aluminium free products in our recommended products page.
Coconut Oil (3 Parts eg 3 tsp)
Baking Soda (8 Parts eg 8tsp)
Small Container(to store)
(you can click these to purchase on Amazon)
- Take an amount of coconut oil(as much as you’ll feel you need in a week) for every 3 parts of Coconut Oil, you’ll be adding 8 of baking soda, so remember that when selecting your container and considering how much you’ll be using.
- Grab a fork and sprinkle the baking soda into the coconut oil one part at a time and mix and fold in using the fork.
- Keep adding the baking soda one part at a time until all 8 parts have been added. In warmer climates, you may need to add one or two extra parts. The consistency should be like thick ice cream.
- You can now mix in scented oil to your liking.
And that’s it. A super simple and fantastic solution that works for a lot of people, and the best thing is – its aluminium free!
